The Graphix Loft began in the spring of 1998 from a lifetime vision of wanting to work in the graphics art world. The owner, Doug Miller, graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in 1989 with aspirations of becoming an animation artist. Although he did work in that field after graduating, other interests caused him to seek out other ventures. Around 1994-1995 the passion to re-orient himself toward the art world was re-ignited. But what would he do? Remembering back to his high school days of art and industrial art classes........ hmmm.....( sorry, flashback ) .....the idea of screen printing came to mind. Yeah, making and designing artwork for t-shirts, printing and wearing them, AND making money doing it....what a great idea! So during the next few years Doug used that time to prepare for the business: remodeling, purchasing equipment and supplies, researching and taking classes, etc.
By 1998 he was ready to begin a business venture that would become The Graphix Loft. Our traditional values ,such as meeting deadlines, returning calls, and listening to our customers, combined with unusual and refreshing ideas is what makes us successful. Our company continues to grow because of this continued commitment to our customers, and their trust and faith in us. BIOGRAPHY FOR DOUG:
CODE NAME: The Juggler
PERSONAL: Owner, artist and whatever needs to be done by the end of the day
INTERESTS: Movies, books, games, movies, screen printing
FUTURISTIC WISH: To expand knowledge of printing and effects, and using them to create truly unique and eye popping t-shirt designs.
SPECIAL POWERS: Able to memorize movie scripts and narrate them word by word as the movie is being watched. Warning: this special power can cause great annoyance to people in the general vicinity causing temporary insanity to those watching. |

CODE NAME: The Egg
PERSONAL: Freelance digital artist
INTERESTS: Movies, games, music, internet, computers.
FUTURISTIC WISH: Sail the open sea on a giant peach infested with human size bugs. Or start his own business which ever comes first.

CODE NAME: Drama-mama
PERSONAL: Mom to 2 boys. Married to husband of 16 years who works in research and development for an ice cream company. {No free samples either}
INTERESTS: Sometimes part-time actress and volunteer for her local theatre, Dream Wrights Youth & Family Theatre.
FUTURISTIC WISH: Wants to do a commercial for some type of household product that a real mom uses because she thinks it would be so cool. |
